On My Wish List…
Sadly I haven’t gotten any new charms since before Christmas 😦 In fact, I’ve been selling off parts of my current collection in order to save up the money for my tuition this semester. Fortunately, I am almost done scraping by as a college student (at least until summer is over) so I wanted to share some of the charms that I’ve been dying to add to my collection but haven’t been able to!
New Charms Ready for Pre-Order!
Finally, we are getting more new charms! I must say that I LOVE the neon fish… I know its a lot like the limited edition angel fish from a few years back, but this one has such a summer look and I’m loving it! And apparently I forgot to put up pictures of last month’s pre-orders 😦 so I’m including some of the charms that are currently available in stores right now I actually like all of the charms this month, but with my budget the way it is I can only pick one that I want so it’s going to be the fishy. New Charms
We got some new charms a few weeks ago and they should be hitting the Juicy stores any day now… personally, I love the new Easter charm! The lemon slice is cute, but I do wish Juicy would release something more original (we already have a lemon slice) and the dragonfly is the same as the original just less colorful… don’t get me wrong, I think all three of the new charms are very cute, I just wanted something totally new, not just an old version with a new paint job.
CHECK IT OUT – my new storage display system!
I have been trying out different ways to store my charms for quite some time now but never found something I was 100% happy with. I know a lot of fellow collectors use a massive jewelry box but i didn’t like how that system looked – I suppose I need more of a “wow” factor than a regular jewelry chest. I am also pretty tight on space, so I didn’t want to commit to something that took up a whole corner or occupied my entire dresser. Other collectors use a shadowbox display, which is more similar to mine, however I am a perfectionist so I wanted my version to look more professionally polished and uniform.
As a result of many attempts of trial and error, I now have my charm storage display system. Each display box can hold up to 49 different charms, which sit on hooks that I installed. I also lined the backing of my box with an imitation snake skin that provides a soft, padded place for the charms so sit against. The doors are glass so I can see my collection but the doors also open to the front to allow for easy accessibility when I want to wear my jewelry. Lastly, I secured each box to my bedroom wall – and now a get to gaze at and adore my collection whenever I want!
New charms!
Well, it’s finally time for new charm pre-orders. SBB posted 3 new full-sized charms that will be available mid-January.
My take on the new charms? I LOVE LOVE LOVE the new daydreamer bag – it it so precious! I hope it opens! Bonus points of it has a little mini heart inside that looks like the mirrors that come in the bags (but I’m not holding my breath on that). I have been waiting a really long time for a bicycle charm but I need to see that one in real life because the photo of it looks a little sloppy IMO. Lastly, I already have the original hummingbird (which was PERFECT the first time around and one of my favorites) so the new red one isn’t on my wish list.
Anyone getting one (or two or three) of the new releases?
