An Addiction to Juicy Couture Charms

About Me

My name is Heather and I (obviously) love Juicy Couture charms! I have one bag and a few tracksuits, but my true passion is collecting their charms! I am currently a college student and am very blessed to have such a large collection. I am a member on TPF and an occasional eBay seller. I only cave into pressure and sell my charms on eBay to either a) pay for my crazy college bills or b) fund new charms. I love helping people out so if you are on the lookout for a charm let me know and I will keep my eyes peeled for you (granted the same charm is not on my wish list – I like to help, but I am human after all)! Don’t be shy, leave a comment! This is my first blog and I am very excited to get it up and running quickly!

There are a lot of charms that came out before I started collecting, so I have done myย research and know what to look for when buying a charm off eBay… this is one of the main reasons I created this blog: I wanted to share my knowledge about what to look for when buying a charm online and also compile a list of all the different charms Juicy has issued, providing a good reference for people to use. I am always adding to this so if I am missing a charm, please email me pictures and the information you have on it so this can be the most comprehensive database for Juicy charms on the web!

I currently have 131 charms in my personal collection, but I am taking a break from collecting them while I’m paying for my school.

I love your blog it has so much great information. I am sorry to hear your pics were getting stolen on ebay. I am an older collector but have more than 60 charms. My kids make fun of me (they are all in their 20’s) but I wear a different charm almost every day. The newest charms don’t excite me and I love the ones that open or have a surprise inside or relate to my childhood.I recently joined the juicy purse forum blog and I am now addicted to seeing what others are purchasing. The mini charms I find boring. My 2 newest purchases are the ghost and the slot machine. My next conquest is the cherry pie charm since it is my favorite.

    • Wow! The ghost and slot machine! I can only dream of those ones lol you are one lucky lady ๐Ÿ™‚

I don’t like the new mini charms either… In fact, if that is the new direction Juicy charms are going in I will possibly start adding the older more expensive ones to my collection with all the money I’ll be saving lol

I’m glad you are checking out my blog and TPF, those are the two places I enjoy when I want a charm fix ๐Ÿ˜‰ I’ll keep my eyes peeled for a cherry pie charm for you!

Thanks for your help one is one ebay now but it is still a little pricey. I also have found if you email some of the sellers and ask ahead you may be able to get a retired charm you want at the great price. I bought the boxing glove charm a few months ago at a great price and it is popular. I must say I was disappointed when reading on the juicy blog today that one of the subscribers thinks collecting charms is a fad and not an investment. I collect for personal enjoyment and as an investment. Do you know what year charms first came out? I started collecting when the checkbook and rodeo princess charm came out. I remember they were $ 35.00 then.

      • I got a couple of my favorite charms by messaging ahead as well ๐Ÿ™‚ And as far as the investment issue goes… I collect these charms because they make me happy (I’m like a little girl again playing with her barbies when I play with my charms lol my family loves to make fun of me for this) but I like to consider them an investment even if it is simply to justify my spending on them. When I think of fads I think of Beanie Babies and how quickly they went out of style, but jewelry has and always will be a big part of a woman’s life and EVERY person who I buy a charm for ends up collecting them so I don’t think they are something that will be worth LESS than original retail down the road. At the same time, I doubt they will be worth what they used to be worth ($800+) but the prices are truly up to the collectors and what they are willing to spend on the ones they missed out on, so I may be wrong.

Charms were originally released in 2004, it sounds like you started collecting in 2007… and OMG I WOULD LOVE IF CHARMS WERE STILL $35!!! haha

me too, I actually scored an aloha globe when I moved to hawaii 5 years ago at the nordstrom rack. I pd $19.99 for it and it has been selling for $260 plus on ebay. It’s funny because I kept changing my mind whether or not to buy it. I agree with you about fads my kids loved beanie babies and cabbage patch dolls but I have close relationships with the juicy couture staff and they tell me there are many collectors who come in to buy charms only and some only collect limited edition. I need to buy another charm box ๐Ÿ˜ฆ I’m out of room in the 3 I have that hold 18 charms each. I always ask they what sells most and I end up buying a lot of charms on other sites because we are very limited in Hawaii. Today I bought the limited ed present from 2009. I can’t wait to wear it this holiday season.I bought it on ebay it comes in original tagged box. I love the whole santa baby items. I wish juicy would come out with a large tiered collector charm box.

    • Lucky you! It sounds like you have quite a few of the rare ones… I wish I had started collecting back when Juicy first released these charms – I would have the most magnificent collection lol… I had two charm boxes and am selling them as I found a new way to store my collection (you can find my pictures of it here). I gave up on Juicy creating a decent one for over 100 charms awhile back so I got creative lol ๐Ÿ™‚

Wow I love your idea it looks like it might be easier to take off the charms I am constantly struggling to get the charm off of the hooks in my boxes since my nails are long. I also have my boxes stacked. How expensive was it to make it yourself? I also noticed that my older charm box has more room than the new charm boxes. Unfortunately our craft stores aren’t very exciting here and protecting your charms is essential due to the warm climate and humidity.

    • I think it cost me around $75 for each box, but it took me a few days (one day for painting, one day for installing all the hooks, and another two days for adding all the feathers). Overall, it was totally worth it though seeing as how one Juicy box is $68 and only holds 18 charms… I would need at least 6 of those boxes and that wouldn’t leave any room for growing.

Wow that is reasonable ,luckily I was able to purchase my last 2 charm boxes for $22.00 due to befriending my juicy sales associates, but I would prefer having a case like you do so I can see them all. Wow, thought I had 3 full charm boxes but actually have 4. It’s amazing how fast they add up. Decided to skip the black friday chaos and buy a few charms instead.
